Family Background

I come from a supportive and loving family. My father’s name is Biken Kumar, and my mother’s name is Gudiya Kumari. They have always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and instilled in me the values of hard work, respect, and discipline. Their unwavering support is a constant source of motivation in my life. They have taught me the significance of education and personal growth, which has influenced my decision to join the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Why I Joined NCC

I joined the NCC to create discipline in my life. Discipline is a vital attribute that helps in shaping one’s character and achieving goals. Through the NCC, I aim to develop a structured approach to my daily activities and learn the importance of self-control and respect for others. The organization provides an environment where I can cultivate these qualities, ensuring that I grow into a responsible and disciplined individual.

Academic Performance

In my previous class, I achieved a percentage of 70%. While this is a respectable score, I recognize that there is room for improvement. Balancing my academic responsibilities with my commitments in the NCC can be challenging, but I am committed to managing my time effectively. The discipline I am learning in the NCC helps me focus better on my studies, and I am determined to improve my grades in the future.

Benefits of NCC

The benefits of joining the NCC are numerous and far-reaching. One significant advantage is the NCC ‘C’ certification, which offers 10–15 bonus marks in paramilitary forces recruitment, such as for the BSF, CISF, CRPF, and SSB. This certification can greatly enhance my chances of being selected for these esteemed positions.

Moreover, possessing NCC certificates can waive the written exam requirement for the post of Soldier GD. This aspect of the NCC is particularly appealing to me, as it opens up more opportunities for my future career in the armed forces. The skills and knowledge I gain through the NCC will not only prepare me for these roles but also equip me with valuable life lessons.

Topics I Like in NCC

Within the NCC, I have developed a keen interest in various activities. I particularly enjoy participating in drills, saluting, and shooting.

Drills are an essential part of our training, teaching us discipline, coordination, and teamwork. The precision required in drill exercises enhances our focus and ability to work together as a unit. It is a rewarding experience to see how our efforts culminate in flawless execution.

Saluting is another aspect I find intriguing. It represents respect and discipline, values that are fundamental in the NCC. The act of saluting teaches us to honor authority and maintain a respectful demeanor, qualities that are vital in any field.

Shooting is an exciting and challenging skill that I am eager to learn. It requires concentration, control, and precision. The training we receive in this area not only enhances our confidence but also instills a sense of responsibility, as we learn the importance of handling firearms safely and respectfully.

Students I Admire in NCC

I admire all my fellow cadets in the NCC. Each one of them brings unique strengths and qualities to our group. Their dedication, commitment, and teamwork inspire me to strive harder. Collaborating with my peers during training sessions creates a supportive environment where we can learn from each other and grow together.

Being part of a group that shares similar goals and aspirations fosters a sense of camaraderie. Together, we face challenges, celebrate victories, and support one another in our journey. This bond is one of the most rewarding aspects of being in the NCC.

Best Friends

My best friends include Divyansh Dubey, Ankan Raj, and Vikas. We share a strong friendship built on mutual respect and support. Together, we study, participate in NCC activities, and motivate each other to excel in both academics and cadet training.

Having friends who understand the challenges of balancing schoolwork with NCC commitments makes the experience more enjoyable. Our shared interests and goals strengthen our friendship and enhance our overall experience in the NCC.

Sources of Strength

My sources of strength come from my family—my mom, dad, and God. Their unwavering support and encouragement empower me to overcome challenges and pursue my dreams. My parents have always been my role models, teaching me the importance of hard work, perseverance, and faith.

When faced with difficulties, I often reflect on their sacrifices and the values they have instilled in me. This motivates me to keep pushing forward, knowing that I am not alone in my journey. Their belief in me gives me the confidence to strive for success.

Weakness

If I were to identify a weakness, it would be my tendency to struggle with studying. I sometimes find it difficult to concentrate for long periods, especially when faced with challenging subjects. I recognize the importance of effective study habits and am actively working to improve my focus and time management skills.

I believe that acknowledging this weakness is the first step toward overcoming it. I am committed to finding strategies that work for me, such as breaking study sessions into manageable chunks and creating a distraction-free environment.

Strengths

My greatest strength is my father, PAPA. His guidance and support have been instrumental in my growth. He has taught me the value of determination, persistence, and hard work. I strive to embody these qualities in my daily life, and they serve as my foundation for success.

In addition to my father’s influence, my determination and persistence are strengths that help me navigate challenges. I believe in setting high standards for myself and staying committed to achieving my goals, no matter the obstacles I face.

Conclusion

In conclusion, being a cadet in the NCC is an enriching experience that extends beyond military training. It teaches us valuable life skills, instills discipline, and fosters teamwork. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious organization, and I look forward to continuing my journey alongside my fellow cadets.

Through my experiences in the NCC, I aim not only to grow as an individual but also to contribute positively to my community and society. The lessons learned and the friendships formed during this journey will stay with me as I navigate the challenges ahead.
